There are so many different types of designer watches, brands, models and designs that it can be somewhat overwhelming at times. It is this reason why we here at Devils Emporium thought you may like to be taken through the process, the pro's and con's and the price brackets not to mention what you can expect from your prized wrist watch.
Fundamentally, the first question to ask yourself is budget. On the whole, designer watches can come in most price brackets from super expensive Rolex Daytona to individual designs like the Corum Rolls Royce Watch designed with the Rolls Royce “Silver Shadow” grill to the inexpensive ranges by Adidas Watches or Accurist Watches retailing at just a few pounds.
So, you first have your watch budget and depending on how much this is will determine brands available or not as the case may be. The next thought is around the watch itself. What do you want from your timepiece? are you looking for lots of functions, radio controlled, alarms, chronograph's, digital, analog, water resistant, to be used for sports, work, swimming, etc etc.
Lets say your budget is around the £100 mark and you are looking for a digital watch which you can use surfing in low depths. This narrows down your search nicely to perhaps some super trendy Casio Watches or the super cool urban Kahuna Watches. These types of brands provide superb value for money with exceptional performance in either men's watches or ladies watches.
What if your budget is much higher, say £500+ well then you are looking at some truly great models from the likes of Tag Heuer, and in some cases a pre owned Rolex. A note of caution however in terms of the second hand Rolex models. I would always advise purchasing any second hand Rolex from a trusted and verifiable source given the market and quality of counterfeit Rolex watches is so substantial that even the most expert of watch retailers have been fooled in the past. Providence is everything and all good pre owned Rolex watches will come with verifiable paperwork. If the watch does not come with this important evidence of past history, walk away....
Higher priced watches such as the Tags and Breitling Watches of this world do certainly come at a price but again, if purchased from a reliable source these brands should stand to being an investment for the future. Piece of advice around the more expensive models though, like a fine expensive Ferrari, regular servicing of your investment must be factored into the life of the watch, it is vital to ensure the resell value of your Rolex or Breitling that it is regularly serviced and maintained by the manufacturer, this of course is offered by all the major brands but it is at a cost hence why when purchasing such models keep one eye on the costs of this into the future.
Above all though, purchase the watch YOU like and looks best on your wrist within your preferred budget. You need to be comfortable not only on how it looks on you but also that you can afford it. Busting your budget tarnishes the effect of the purchase in some cases given at the back of your mind you are always thinking about the price you paid and how much more than you wanted to pay! Enjoy your designer watch!
